That's right ladies and gents - this week's show is themed especially for audience participation! Ever wish you could be up on stage with us - or get your friends up on stage with us? Well now here's your chance. This Friday (Feb. 12th @ 9pm) we're taking our hats off to you - our beloved audience for a show that you'll never [want to] forget!

When: Feb 12 - 9pm to 11pm
Where: IAO Gallery - 706 W. Sheridan, Oklahoma City
Who: Red Dirt Improv - of course ;)
Why: Because we just love our audiences!

This past weekend was our FIRST EVER open auditions - we had tons of great talent show up. Thanks to all who came out and helped out. Everything was fun and ran smoothly. And if you're curious - we'll get back to you shortly!!! :D
More snow?!?!?! This isn't like Oklahoma - we've had 2 major ice/snow storms with in a month or so of each other... we had some today... and we're supposed to have some in two days... and then some more next week. Since we already had to cancel ONE show already - we're hoping that the weather cooperates and we don't have to cancel/postpone any more.
Confidence Men from ATX (aka Austin, Texas) are going to be coming up here for the weekend of March 5th-6th. They are an awesome and talented group of guys. ALSO, Asaf Ronen and Tom Booker (*both of ConMen) will be teaching workshops on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning - check out our home page or the FaceBook event for more information about signing up for these awesome courses.

Alright - well - it's late, and I should probably be going to bed... like right about now (/collapses and falls fast asleep)

Busy Weekend Ahead!!!!

Howdy Folks,

Due to last week's wonderful bout of winter weather, we had to cancel our "A Very Vrazel Farewell" show - but luckily we've postponed it to this week. [for details: check it out here]

----- Then fourteen hours after that (aka 1pm on Saturday) RDI is hosting it's FIRST EVER AUDITIONS! Ever want to try your hand at professional improvisational comedy? Well here's your chance: This Saturday, from 1pm-4pm, RDI is hosting open auditions for players/tech/musicians. Though, we do ask that you do show up at 1pm - since we have some exciting stuff planned.

So come on out - and give it your best!

Kickin' off 2010 the right way

Hello All,

I know it's been a while since our last interlude, I'm sorry, but the good news is - Red Dirt Improv is busier than ever and it's absolutely terrific!

Since our last post we:

Had a bunch of shows at the IAO Gallery
Came up with a whole bunch of new and exciting games and show ideas - which you'll be able to see in "9 Fridays @ 9"
Had a few changes to the cast of RDI.
Raychel's our new Artistic Director, and we love her.
Performed in OKC's Opening Night to two packed audiences and spread the 'good news' of improv comedy to the OKC Metro Area.
Finally, we set the date for the Improv Festival Oklahoma 2.0 (or just IFO2 for short!) - more information is going to be coming soon, so keep your eyes peeled for it!
